Our Missions

Our primary mission is to engage in discourses and advocacy, organize seminars and symposia to introduce to the rest of the world the father of the Bangladeshi nation Bongobondhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman by focusing on his lifelong quest for political freedom, economic emancipation of the toiling masses, socio-cultural self-determination through one of the greatest peoples’ movements in the last century. We will also purposefully strive to introduce his life-long struggles based on the quest to realize these ideas to the rest of the world. The world needs to know that he was a charismatic leader, astute statesman, fearless patriot, and committed internationalist who endured many difficult ordeals to uphold his principles and beliefs of providing betterment to the Bangladeshi people and humanity as a whole. Bongobondhu’s socio-political principles and beliefs transcended the traditional constructs of nationalism into a love for the greater humanity where he dreamt of political, social, economic and racial justice for all the people of the world.

Bongobondhu’s Vision

Our Goals

1. To present Bangladesh in a positive light in North America and also globally as a nation which under the charismatic leadership of Bongobondhu rose up to fight against deprivation and oppression and for political self-determination, justice and economic emancipation.

2. Focus on the life and struggle of Bongobondhu to showcase to the world on how an astute statesman and charismatic leader led a nation on its journey towards political freedom, economic and social justice.

3. Promote Bongobondhu’s vision of internationalism and total secularism so that people of different nations could rely on this platform as a reliable alternative to divisions and fractions.

4. Engage in discourses and advocacy to promote Bongobondhu’s life and struggle for the freedom from oppression and foreign occupation of the Bangladeshi people and leverage on his political principles and philanthrophic vision to enable and empower people around the world with ideas and progressive vision.

5. Hold regular seminars and symposia to promote Bongobondhu’s political principles on political freedom, economic justice and cultural self-determination.

6. Hold cultural events to promote Bangladeshi culture and Bongobondhu’s selfless and unflinching dedication and arduous contribution in bringing forth the birth of the nation of Bangladesh.
